Welsh Stripe & Patch Policy
by Exec Board
This policy is intended to clarify the eligibility of fencers to wear the Welsh stripes/patches on their kit. The existing stripes (currently used by our youth fencers) are being replaced by new patches. Stripes are in limited supply at Leon Paul, as no new Welsh stripes are being manufactured. This gives us an opportunity to introduce a new set of patches. Stripes will no longer be awarded, although those who have already earned them, may continue to wear them.
The overarching principle is that these have to be earned by fencers selected to represent Wales at appropriate events, so they are seen by their peers as deserving of that recognition.
Conflict of Interest Policy
by Mark Ridsdale
The Directors of Welsh Fencing, and the members of any WF Committee, are all required to conform with our Conflict of Interest Policy. It defines how interests are registered (via the Declaration of Interests Form), and how they will be managed.
Anti-Doping Policy
by Lyn Robinson
Introduction
Anti-doping is an important part of all National Governing Body’s responsibility. British Fencing take a clear lead on many aspects, however, as the NGB here in Wales, there are some crucial actions that we ne need to take to ensure that all Welsh Fencers are aware of the responsibilities on them, and where information and support can be accessed.
WF have engaged with UKAD and we are continuing to work closely with our UK NGB, British Fencing on the requirements of the UKAD Assurance Framework.
