On the 12th-13th July 25 our senior regional welsh team came together in a rather warm Nottingham for the Winton cup. It was a great weekend of learning, competing and meeting lots of new people. Thank you to everyone who took part and allowed us to come together as a team, you all fenced so well and really brought the welsh team spirit with you. Special mention to Emma, Charlotte, Florence and Ayse who all are under the age of 16 and for some it was their first ever senior competition they all fenced amazingly despite everyone being much older than them.

Top team for the weekend was our victorious Men’s foilist’s who fought incredibly well and at a high level the whole weekend and came out on top and winning their event with 9 out of 10 victories. Special mention to our Women’s epeeists who were 3rd with 8 victories and Men’s sabre who were 5th with 6 victories.
