Please find below an update on various Veteran related developments:
Draft Selection Policy Feedback
- Thank you to all that have provided feedback to date. Please share any queries you may have to me by the end of July
- Feedback thus far has been generally positive with some useful suggestions around some of the wording and specifically on the competitions selected and number of competitions used for selection purposes
- I will compile all responses received by end July and will share a final proposal based on this thereafter
Veterans Selectors
- I mentioned previously that I am keen to have Vets proposing selection to the board if at all possible and as such requested expressions of interest to become one of the selectors
- I have received interest for Foil and Sabre but as of yet nothing from our Epee community
- If you are keen to take on the role please let me know
Veterans Winton
- This competition is soon approaching and we are still short on our Women's side of the team
- Unfortunately due to some dropping out for personal reasons we need numbers across all weapons
- If you or if you know of anyone keen to join us on 21/22 September please send them in my direction
Home International - Sub Committee Support
- In 2025 it is our turn to host the Vet Home International
- Provisional dates in March and April are under review
- If you are interested in joining me to help organize the event please let me know
- I am hoping we can raise enough support to operate a sub-committee for the event - lets make it a success!
Email confirmation
- It has been brought to my attention that some emails sourced from the Sport80 database are not correct and as such some communication is not making to those intended via the email distribution list
- As such could you check the Sport80 website details and also share back to me updated email addresses so I can ensure our Vets Email Distribution list is fully up to date
